Approach to Environmental Sciences from the perspective of postgraduate students of a Brazilian education institution
Abstract
Socio-environmental problems are increasingly evident in everyday life, which makes people more concerned and seek relative professional (in)formation. In this sense, the objective was to verify perceptions and inferences of postgraduate students about an environmental sciences course, with characterization of the student's profile. For such, quantiqualitative questionnaires were applied to concluders of 2019, of the Specialization course in Environmental Sciences and Nature Conservation, FAPEMA, Teresina-PI. It was found that most participants were female (70 %), aged between 20 and 30 years (75 %), graduated in Biological Sciences (75 %) and UESPI's egress (55 %). For the students, the course had its intended general objective and satisfactory results in the teaching-learning activities. The course enables professional formation with the technical-scientific skills needed to diagnose and propose alternatives to socio-environmental problems.
