Abstract

Abstract: This essay addresses the topic of sexuality in the socio-educational system, based on the recognition of the importance of the sexual and reproductive rights of teenagers and, in particular,  teenagers in conflict with the law. The background motivating the writing was the suspension of intimate visits in the Espírito Santo socio-educational system, in 2022, which revealed the great challenge and the enormous difficulty of responsibly and carefully guaranteeing these rights to this population. The biggest challenge today is still understanding that we are talking about human rights and that teenagers need to be supported and understood, and not judged based on their sexuality.

Bacharel (2010) e Mestre (2013) em Serviço Social pela Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. Discente de Psicologia (Multivix/Vitória) e Assistente Social do Tribunal de Justiça do Estado do Espírito Santo, atualmente lotada na 3ª Vara da Infância e Juventude de Vitória - Especializada em Medidas Socioeducativas.

Thiago de Sousa Freitas Lima, Centro Universitário Multivix Vitória

Bacharel em Psicologia (2011) e Mestre (2014) em Saúde Coletiva pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. Doutor em Psicologia pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2020). Docente do curso de Psicologia (Multivix/Vitória) e psicólogo clínico.
