Resumen

This article aims to characterize the performance of the Center for Accessibility and Inclusion (NAI) for the permanence of students with disabilities at the Federal University of Acre (UFAC). The study consisted of a research of quantitative and qualitative nature, using as method the documentary and exploratory analysis. The research subjects were the NAI coordinator and professionals. As a procedure for collecting information, we had access to NAI documents about UFAC students with disabilities, as well as information about their actions to include this public. Also, he used the open interview with the acting NAI coordinator. As a procedure for analyzing the information, the documents were organized into three categories: NAI operating structure, UFAC students with disabilities and NAI actions for students with disabilities. The results showed, among other things, that despite the important work done by NAI for the inclusion of students with disabilities from UFAC, much remains to be done for these students to realize their rights and minimize obstacles in the full conditions of their work. participation and learning, so that it can increase the academic success rates of these subjects.

Possui graduação em Pedagogia pela Universidade Federal do Acre e Especialização em Psicopedagogia. Atualmente é pedagoga da Universidade Federal do Acre, ocupa o cargo de Coordenadora de Currículo da Diretoria de apoio ao desenvolvimento do ensino. Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Educação Especial.
