Author Guidelines

The FAARTES Journal receives a continuous stream of contributions from undergraduate and graduate students, professors, and researchers in the Arts and related fields.

1. Texts written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English will be accepted.

2. The required technical standards are those of ABNT (NBR 6023:2018, NBR 10520:2023 and updates).

3. Submissions must be made through the journal's system, after user registration.

4. Articles must be between 5,000 and 8,000 words in length (including abstract and bibliography). Reviews must be up to 2,000 words. Texts for the Memory, Interviews, and Extended Abstracts sections must contain up to 3,000 words.

5. Texts must be submitted in DOC or DOCX format. Use Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line spacing and justified alignment, as per the magazine template (Menu "File" > "Download").

6. Foreign words and expressions (different from the language of the text), as well as quotations in a foreign language (also in relation to the main language), should be placed in italic font style.

7. In the case of quotations in a language other than the text, authors must translate the quotation into the language of the text, inserting the citation in the original language in a footnote.

8. Graphs, tables, illustrations, and figures, in addition to being inserted in the text, must be submitted separately through the system in JPEG or PNG format, with a resolution between 200 and 300 dpi. Audio files or moving images that are not available on the website should also be submitted as supplementary files. Titles, captions, and sources must accompany the images inserted in the body of the text.

9. Authors must initially submit the manuscript without author identification in the file, whether on the first page, in quotations and images throughout the text, or in the references section. This procedure ensures blind peer review. All author information must be entered in the article's metadata during the submission process.

10. Texts that do not comply with the Editorial Guidelines or technical standards will not be accepted.
