A PERSPECTIVA DA PESSOA IDOSA NO MERCADO DE TRABALHO: ENTRE DIREITOS, AGEÍSMO E INCLUSÃO

RESUMO 

O envelhecimento populacional no Brasil é um fenômeno acelerado que desafia a estrutura do mercado de trabalho e a efetividade das políticas públicas. Este artigo, de caráter exploratório e crítico, analisa a inserção da pessoa idosa no mercado laboral a partir de dados secundários recentes do IBGE, PNAD Contínua, Ipea e OIT, além de contribuições doutrinárias e normativas. Evidencia-se a persistência de barreiras estruturais, como a falta de políticas de requalificação, ambientes laborais não adaptados e a incidência de ageísmo, que comprometem a efetividade dos direitos já assegurados pela Constituição Federal e pelo Estatuto da Pessoa Idosa. Conclui-se que, sem políticas inclusivas e gestão multigeracional, a reinserção crescente de pessoas idosas no mercado de trabalho tende a ocorrer em condições precárias, aumentando riscos de informalidade, adoecimento e sobrecarga previdenciária.

THE PERSPECTIVE OF OLDER ADULTS IN THE LABOR MARKET: BETWEEN RIGHTS, AGEISM, AND INCLUSION

ABSTRACT 

Population aging in Brazil is a rapidly advancing phenomenon that challenges the labor market structure and the effectiveness of public policies. This exploratory and critical article analyzes the insertion of older adults in the labor market based on recent secondary data from IBGE, PNAD Contínua, Ipea, and ILO, as well as doctrinal and normative contributions. It highlights the persistence of structural barriers, such as the lack of retraining policies, non-adapted work environments, and ageism, which undermine the effectiveness of rights already guaranteed by the Federal Constitution and the Statute of the Older Person. It is concluded that without inclusive policies and multigenerational management, the growing reintegration of older adults into the labor market tends to occur under precarious conditions, increasing risks of informality, illness, and social security overload.
