A QUESTÃO DA PROVÍNCIA DE PURÚS NO PERU

RESUMO 

O presente artigo analisa a configuração da fronteira de fricção na província de Purús, no Peru, considerando os fluxos migratórios entre brasileiros e peruanos na região amazônica. A pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender como a dinâmica migratória tem influenciado a construção de territórios de contato e tensão entre os dois países, especialmente nas áreas limítrofes ao Estado do Acre. A metodologia adotada foi de caráter qualitativo, com abordagem bibliográfica e análise documental, fundamentada em fontes acadêmicas indexadas e documentos oficiais. Os resultados indicam que a mobilidade populacional entre Peru e Brasil, especialmente nas regiões de Purús e Alto Solimões, tem provocado transformações territoriais que configuram a fronteira como espaço de fricção, caracterizado por disputas geopolíticas, pressões sociais e demandas por políticas públicas mais efetivas. Conclui-se que a compreensão dessas dinâmicas é fundamental para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de gestão territorial e integração regional na Amazônia Internacional.

THE QUESTION OF THE PROVINCE OF PURÚS IN PERU

ABSTRACT 

 This article analyzes the configuration of the friction border in the province of Purús, Peru, considering the migratory flows between Brazilians and Peruvians in the Amazon region. The main objective is to understand how migration dynamics have influenced the construction of contact and tension territories between the two countries, especially in the border areas adjacent to the state of Acre. The methodological approach was qualitative, based on bibliographic research and document analysis, using indexed academic sources and official documents. The results indicate that population mobility between Peru and Brazil, particularly in the regions of Purús and Alto Solimões, has led to territorial transformations that characterize the border as a friction zone, marked by geopolitical disputes, social pressures, and demands for more effective public policies. It is concluded that understanding these dynamics is essential for the development of territorial management strategies and regional integration in the International Amazon.
