RESUMO
A constituição de rodovias na Amazônia fortalece a circulação regional, superando o modelo dendrítico baseado nos rios e estabelecendo novas formas de organização territorial. A BR-163, que conecta Cuiabá a Santarém, é estratégica para o escoamento da produção agrícola e mineral, mas também gera debates sobre impactos ambientais e sociais. Este artigo, de cunho bibliográfico, analisa a importância da BR-163 e da Estrada da Vila Amazônia em Parintins (AM), destacando sua relevância para a integração regional e os desafios relacionados à conservação ambiental.

ABSTRACT
The construction of highways in the Amazon strengthens regional circulation, surpassing the dendritic model based on rivers and establishing new forms of territorial organization. The BR-163, which connects Cuiabá to Santarém, is strategic for the flow of agricultural and mineral production, but it also raises debates about environmental and social impacts. This bibliographic study analyzes the importance of BR-163 and the Vila Amazônia road in Parintins (AM), highlighting their relevance for regional integration and the challenges related to environmental conservation.
