This study delves into the social thought in the Amazon region, by recording the path of the theatrical movement of the 40s to the 60s of the 20th. Century in Manaus. The survey has attempted to shed some light into the urban cultural manifestations through the theatrical expression believing in a fruitful dialog between science and literature, anthropology and poetry, history and art. Such a tour among erudition and feelings amplifies the focus on a region and allows for a new reading on its cultural identity.
