Two decades in the trajectory of the scientific journal Somanlu
Abstract
The 20th edition of Somanlu – Journal of Amazonian Studies of the Graduate Program in Society and Culture in the Amazon (PPGSCA) at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM) reaches the academic and scientific community.
Somanlu brings with it a 20-year history of disseminating, sharing, and promoting knowledge about the Deep Amazon. It is worth noting that the introduction of vol. 1, no. 1 – 2000 was written by the distinguished researcher Dr. Ernesto Renan Freitas Pinto, who stated that “as such, it is born with the transdisciplinary mark that constitutes the principal element of the identity of this program at the University of Amazonas” (2000, p. 5).
For the reader, this edition offers an immersion into the imagination and intellectual production of master’s and doctoral students, researchers, collaborators, and graduates of PPGSCA/UFAM, expressed in its diverse polyphonies and literary creations.
