This research analyses the revitalization of the caboclo-ribeirinho (Amazon riverine dwellers) identity and the dynamics of the production of vegetal species in São Francisco, São José and Nossa Senhora da Conceição communities, located in Costa da Terra Nova, in the municipality of Careiro da Várzea, in State of Amazonas (Brazil). Specific methodological procedures were adopted in order to understand the singularity of the way of life of the population inhabits the waters and the varzea wetlands of Amazon River. The way the trading process of the products extracted from such ecotypes as the family harvest (roça), smallfar (sítio) and woodenplatform crops (jiraus) in show.
