Nefrite Lúpica Pediátrica: Perfil Clínico-laboratorial-patológico dos Pacientes Atendidos no Ambulatório Araújo Lima entre 2015-2018

O Lúpus Eritematoso Sistêmico Juvenil (LESJ) é uma doença autoimune de caráter crônico e multissistêmico, que se manifesta com um amplo espectro de anormalidades clínicas e imunológicas. Dentre as principais condições associadas, destaca-se a Nefrite Lúpica (NL) secundária ao LESJ ou como resultado da intensa toxicidade por drogas imunossupressoras. A NL detém forte influência no manejo e prognóstico da doença por ser o principal responsável pela morbimortalidade do LESJ na faixa etária pediátrica. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo determinar as características clínicas, histopatológicas (renais) e laboratoriais dos pacientes portadores de LESJ com NL identificada, que foram atendidos no Serviço de Reumatologia do Ambulatório Araújo Lima vinculado à Universidade Federal do Amazonas no período de janeiro de 2015 a agosto de 2018, na cidade de Manaus – Amazonas. Os estudos sobre o padrão de acometimento renal e a atividade da doença sistemicamente são importantes ferramentas para a melhor compreensão clínica da NL. Verificou-se neste estudo que os indivíduos com NL apresentam altos índices de atividade da doença no momento do diagnóstico, sendo evidenciado maior risco de necessidade de terapia dialítica naqueles que apresentaram NL ao diagnóstico. O trabalho apresenta relevância nacional, posto que a elucidação do padrão da NL nos indivíduos amazonenses na faixa etária pediátrica representará um avanço tanto para a formação de uma estrutura epidemiológica quanto para os cuidados dos profissionais de saúde que resultarão na melhoria da qualidade de vida desses pacientes.
