This study presents a proposal for a historiography of Amazonian literature in texts whose production is objectified in narratives, myths, and legends of the Amazon rainforest, linked to ayahuasca, indigenous peoples, and churches that were founded by caboclos, immigrants from the Northeast, Midwest, and South, who had contact with the tea directly with the indigenous populations, who already knew and used caapi, ayahuasca or yagé, approximately seven centuries BC. From this contact, the Daime (1930), Barquinha (1945), União do Vegetal (1960), Núcleo da Divina Luz (2000), among others, churches emerged, and, in their wake, came the literature, which is the object of research. Thus, we seek to present a sample of the literature that relates to tea, indigenous people, shamans, and churches, their context, and a summarized biography of the authors.
