The connection between violence and social vulnerability is an important topic in the social and health sciences due to the long-lasting effects it has on populations living in situations of inequality. Factors such as poverty, social marginalization, racial prejudice, gender inequality, and limited access to public policies increase the likelihood of experiencing various forms of violence. The goal of this article is to conduct an integrative review of the literature on the intersections between violence and social vulnerability, addressing three specific groups: women experiencing homelessness, children and adolescents, and the elderly, in order to understand its determinants and effects at both individual and collective levels. The methodology is based on the evaluation of studies published in recognized scientific databases, selected according to previously established criteria. The results suggest that social and structural factors directly affect the incidence of violence and its physical and psychological consequences, highlighting the need for public policies.
