The article presents the teacher's training and professional career in an authorial narrative associated with historical events related to Brazilian education and its legislation. The purpose was to reflect on the process of training and teaching, considering the Brazilian educational context of the times. Based on a qualitative approach, the process engendered to prepare the text started from memories written about each of the constitutive stages of the educational training process and, later, by combining the professional career and other continuous training processes experienced, correlating them with historical facts of Brazilian education. The dialogue with Saviani (2011, 2007), Souza (2006), Nóvoa (1999, 2001) and other scholars supported the essay that narrates and reflects on educational episodes of the female teacher.
