Abstract

The practices in Community Social Psychology are directly related to the commitment to the mobilization of excluded populations and with challenges to the professional identity of the psychologist. In this article we present an experience report by the students of the postgraduate course in Psychology of the Federal University of Amazonas. A conversation wheel entitled "Our Dreams and Utopias" was held with a group of Venezuelan refugees, welcomed in the city of Manaus-AM. The results showed the importance of the assessment of the psychologist in the community context, prioritizing tools such as talk wheels and thematic workshops as an instrument of reflection and change from the subject itself. We conclude by the potential of the association between interventions that allow extension work with research and training activities, an important strategy in the critical and engaged redirection of the professional to the community, institutional and social dimensions of knowledge and of the Brazilian Psychology.
