Resolution number 01/99 of the Federal Psychology Council prohibited the pathologization of homosexuality; whether through clinical activity, or through participation in services and events that promote “conversion therapies”. A psychologist is a health professional who is in constant contact with issues relating to human sexuality. With this in mind, it is important to understand how people who do not fit into society's heteronormative standards are vulnerable in several aspects. There is research that indicates that adults who belong to sexual minorities have an increased risk of developing psychopathology in relation to the heterosexual adult population. Lesbian women find themselves in a situation of double vulnerability, as they are women and homosexuals, in addition to suffering indirect aggressions such as invisibility, which can be seen as a way of invalidating their existence and not having their identity respected. Understanding this context can be an ethical aid for serving this community in the psychological clinic. The objective of this study was to carry out a trial on psychological care for lesbian women.
