A CRÍTICA DE HUSSERL AO HISTORICISMO E A FILOSOFIA DO WELTANSCHAUUNG EM "FILOSOFIA COMO CIÊNCIA RIGOROSA"

Resumo

Esse texto trata da crítica ao Historicismo e à Filosofia do Weltanschauung realizada por Edmund Husserl no artigo Filosofia como Ciência Rigorosa publicado na Revista Logos em 1911 que endereça o distanciamento da filosofia do ideal de científico promovido pelo autor. Com esse intuito, o texto descreve a caracterização do Historicismo e da Filosofia do Weltanschauung realizada pelo fenomenólogo no artigo de 1911 apontando para a relação identificada de origem do modelo de filosofia das visões de mundo na perspectiva historicista da história e para as limitações e as consequências céticas da adesão ao reducionismo e ao relativismo histórico no campo das humanidades, especialmente da filosofia e da história. Através da descrição das duas vertentes teóricas, o texto identifica o fundamento da crítica de Husserl ao Historicismo e à Filosofia do Weltanschauung com base no ideal de cientificidade da filosofia, nas limitações intrínsecas às ciências humanas e na relação entre os dois campos do conhecimento. A crítica de Husserl ao Historicismo e à Filosofia do Weltanschauung, embora focada na ameaça dessas vertentes de pensamento ao desenvolvimento da filosofia enquanto ciência de rigor, permite também endereçar a relação a ser almejada pelo filósofo com a história da filosofia e da filosofia com as demais ciências humanas.

HUSSERL’S CRITIQUE OF HISTORICISM AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF WELTANSCHAUUNG IN PHILOSOPHY AS RIGOROUS SCIENCE

Abstract

This text deals with Edmund Husserl's critique of Historicism and the Philosophy of Weltanschauung in the article Philosophy as Rigorous Science published in the Journal Logos in 1911, which addresses the distancing of philosophy from the scientific ideal promoted by the author. To this end, the text describes the characterization of historicism and the Philosophy of Weltanschauung made by the phenomenologist in the 1911 article, pointing to the identified relationship of origin of the model of philosophy of worldviews in the historicist perspective of history and to the limitations and skeptical consequences of adherence to reductionism and historical relativism in the field of the humanities, especially philosophy and history. Through a description of the two theoretical strands, the text identifies the basis of Husserl's critique of historicism and the Philosophy of Weltanschauung based on the ideal of philosophy as science, the intrinsic limitations of the human sciences and the relationship between the two fields of knowledge. Husserl's critique of historicism and the Philosophy of the Weltanschauung, although focused on the threat posed by these strands of thought to the development of philosophy as a science of rigour, also allows him to address the relationship that the philosopher sought with the history of philosophy and philosophy with the other human sciences.
